Founded in 2024 by a group of LSU students, Arkios is a platform dedicated to showcasing student work and fostering conversation within the College of Art and Design. Arkios was created to provide a space where research, essays, and projects can be shared beyond the classroom. Our mission is to support creative exploration, challenge conventions, and highlight the voices of emerging designers.
Based on the original drawing by Theodore Link, the architect behind LSU's historic quad, the Arkios logo depicts the doors of Hill Memorial Library.
This concept resonates with LSU on many levels. It evokes the image of the arch and keystone that is so prevalent throughout the campus while drawing inspiration from the original architectural drawings and master plan. Beyond that, the doors of the library symbolize the threshold of knowledge that an academic journal embodies.
